Busy busy

Yesterday was such a crazy day. We started the day off with going shopping for a birthday present. J paid for it himself. Then we went straight to J's baseball game. He even called up G&GM to see if they could come out and watch him. He's been sore for the last few days in one leg and has been walking funny. So when he came up to bat the manager asked him if he just wanted to sit out. He said " NO, I'll hit the ball, run to first, then you can get a pitch-runner for me" Oh I loved it. He hit the ball but it went to the pitcher and he was a lot fast then my little injured player. BUT he ran as hard as he could. His 2nd ups was great too. He hit the ball all the way down the 1st baseline, unfortunately it went foul. He hit it so hard that he could have easily got a double and if he wasn't injured a triple. He stayed alive hitting another foul but then stuck out swinging. SO PROUD OF YOU J!!!!!!
After the game we went to a birthday party at the bowling alley. The kids had a great time even though we were late. Then right after the party we went to walk for 3 hours at the Relay for Life with the Boy Scouts. I did 3 miles, and the kids did 6.

Play Ball !!!!

Over the Line. 3 little words that mean so much to our family. Over the line means family, picnics, dreams and of course the Big Inning of baseball season. We all had a great time playing and watching. The rules are simple: bring food to share, bring your game, and hit the ball as hard as you can. This year the Legends lost the first game against the Young Guns. For the second game the teams were a little more mixed. My favorite part of the whole day wasn't when I caught the line-drive hit by my Dad or even when he told me he proud of me. No my favorite part was after J hit the ball my Dad made sure to give J a high 5. Every time I saw it I melted. I never did get a picture of it (kicking myself) but I love that I did get them talking shop in the dugout. Well the kids are in full swing of things. They are back in school after 2 wonderful weeks, and of course softball and baseball is almost every night of the week. Both kids are having a lot of fun. J more than J I think. Her team has only lost one game and that one they only lost by 1. J's team on the other hand is so disorganized, it drives J a little batty. (no pun intended) Here are my kiddos at play:

Disneyland

So, the kids have been on Spring Break no since Mon. and they still have another week to go. What are we going to do for 2 weeks you ask. Well we decided to get annual passes to Disneyland. Why Disneyland. Well for 1 it's the happiest place on Earth. 2 For the price of a vacation they are about the same, and now we can go almost anytime we want. 3 Disney has this deal now that for your birthday you get to go free!!! Well that sounds good but that means we would still have to shell out $200 per birthday just so we could go as a family. So $800 later we would be thinking we should have bought the passes. So needless to say yesterday we shelled out $1135 for 4 passes. We had to end up getting the Deluxe pass because the other 2 CA passes suck. You can't go at all during the summer and 2 of our 4 birthdays were blocked. Hello. So now on our birthdays we get a $65 gift card to be used that day. No problem, we could do that. So who else wants to join us at Disneyland.

Did a page yesterday

The laundry just stopped so I'll be brief ;-) I did a couple of pages from our vacation in 2003. I also found some pictures from June that I had overlooked. So here you go Us in 2003:
I used another kit from DownToDetails. It's of us on the Hoover Dam. Wish I took a better pic of it but if you click on it it will be bigger for you. I was so glad I had missed these pics earlier, because now I LOVE how the LO turned out. CateroryStories has a contest right now for using the word Precious. What a great opportunity for me to express my love for my kidos. I also used a sketch from ScrapbookDeals4U.

Time to breath

Ahhh, I'm been crazy busy at the school with our Pirate dances. So much fun for all but I had to deal with so many people who didn't want to pay. I know times are hard but $3 for everybody isn't bad at all. We had whole families come when it was just for Mom and her son(s) or for Dad and his daughter(s). Maybe next year we'll just fo a FAMILY dance. We already picked the theme of a Mascarade Ball so it would be a lot of fun for the whole family.

As you can see I changed my background and changed the music. I don't know what it is about Celtic music it must be the beat but it got my mojo going. I did 3 pages and a card this weekend. I'll post a few of my POTD's I haven't forgoten about them I just haven't had time to post them.

Powder and a baby

After ice cold rain off and on for the last few days we woke up to a cloudless sky and white mountains. What a sight. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's funny the mountains look like they grow with snow on them.

J brought home her baby today. It was so strange seeing her with it for the first time. She rang the door bell which she never does and there was my baby girl holding a baby.

It's a teaching baby. Don't fret, I'm not a real Grandma yet. She only gets it for 1 night so she gets a tiny taste of what a baby is like.

I won't be posting until Monday. I'll be at the Orange Co. Scrapbooking expo. If you're there too come say hi. I'll be working all weekend as the cashier in the Down to Details booth.

POTD x2

How was every bodies weekend? Ours here in Sunny Southern California was WET WET WET. It's still raining. On Saturday we went to a double birthday party for my niece and nephew. The kids had so much fun bouncing in the rain. On the way home I took out my camera because I still didn't take my POTD. S said I could take pictures as long as I didn't use the flash. ha ha ha it make me laugh every time I see it.
Yesterday J and got all her dolls ready for Valentines day. I love that she still loves playing with her dolls even though she's 11. We had a great time picking out who was going to wear what. She even got out her salon chair to do all of their hair.
Today I opened up my email to find a picture I took in 2007 was POTD for http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AllAboutDollClothes/
It's of 2 of her American Girl dolls Kit and Laura. J was so excited and very much surprised.

Rain and some Math

Today it has been cold and windy with rain every once in awhile. When I went to go pick up J from school the sky was scary dark on one side and white clouds on the other, I used the stitch function on my camera but I didn't get enough of the dark clouds oh well. scary clouds are comingHere's another picture I took while waiting. time to breath

Man these last few weeks have been busy, and softball and baseball hasn't even started. I'm glad J is in softball instead of baseball like last year but my life is going to get CRAZY after 2 o'clock. So let's see what has happened lately. tryouts, meetings, family birthdays, science project (luckily only 1) So here is my latest pics for POTD. I have been taking a picture everyday but just haven't posted them.J's tryouts were cancelled so instead of going inside they kids decided to play catch in the dark. I tried to get the moon and Venus. put without a tripod there was just too much shaking for such a distance pic. Now this is a much better pic of the moon. J had a space night at his school and some guys brought their heavy duty telescopes. J's first team meeting was at Ihop. Ours is now open 24 hours. Grocery day. I ended up going to 4 different stores. Luckily they are all on the way to each other. It's all about getting the best deal. Ahh Science project is done and ready to be turned in. I'm a WINNER

Yep if you heard a squeal earlier today that was me. I just won on the Making Memories blog I still can't believe it. I was LUCKY #7. So here they post that I'm the winner and to email them so I click to write them and BAM my computer freezes and won't let me do anything. I shut it down waited turned it back on again all I got was a white screen turn it off again wait turn in on. Finally it's up and running it only took 30 min. So my POTD is the MM screen. THANK YOU SO MUCH MM YOU ROCK!!!

CHA

What a fun day at CHA. 4 other girlfriends and myself spent the day looking at all the fun new papers and gadgets. I am loving the new fonts for the Slice. I must have them!!! The highlight that J is so mad about. I met Darth Vader. 025/365 D is for Darth Vader We were waiting to get in and he and his men stood right behind us. Needless to say all the ladies pulled out their cameras and trampled by us to take a picture with them. I took my picture with them while waiting to do the make-and-take by Teresa Collins . Oh so much fun!!! Can't wait to finish it with my pictures and bling.

Let's relax

J is now a BOY SCOUT!!!! So proud of our little guy. He received his Arrow of Light and crossed over to Boy Scouts last night. What a fun filled night. J can't wait to start going to his new meetings on Tuesday.

Today I signed both kids to play ball. This is J's first year of softball. Last year she played baseball, but most of her friends play soft ball so she got talked onto playing with them. Hoping she can handle going from assistant captain to being a newbie. J signed up for baseball again. Fingers crossed we get the same coach as last year.

After we stopped for lunch we came home and the kids relaxed while I put in my new printer. Now I have to clean my room. I just looked at the time realized I didn't take a pic. yet so here's the movie they've been watching all day. Most likely I won't post tomorrow, I'll will Monday as long as I don't do another day at CHA.

Fun Girls Day

Today J didn't have any school, but J did. So after V came over they ate breakfast we headed over to their school for Parent/teacher conferences. V asked of I wanted to see the Gum tree. It's cool. The whole school knows about it. I also took a few shots for the photo scavenger group I'm in. Raindrops in puddle. After the school I had to drive out to Redlands to buy a Boy Scout hat, belt and book for J. took a few detours on this trip for more scavenger photos. Church Bell, The word PARK, a pig, a bird with Blue on it, fruit stand, a fountain Now I have to go get ready for J's big night.
